Content in a crisis

Things we've done
By Hannah Gabrielle

Continuing our video series about Cool Content Coming Soon 2012, here's the second of five speaker videos from the day.

Simon Davis, editor for online news and social media at the Department for International Development (DFID), discusses how social media was used to support international aid efforts during the 2010 Haiti crisis. It's a compelling case study of the far-reaching potential of innovation and content.

You can learn more about the day on the website, where full podcasts and accompanying slideshows of presentations will be posted in the next few weeks.

Check out the first speaker video, featuring the Royal Shakespeare Company's digital producer Sarah Ellis, and the first video in the series, which gives an overview of the day. We're already thinking about how we can raise the bar at next year's event.
