Part of the Paralympics

Things we've done

Thanks for the warm-up. So said the clever Channel 4 adverts that rolled out once the Olympic Games had finished, signalling the start of their dedicated and extensive coverage of the Paralympic Games. So extensive, in fact, that they pledged to make it the biggest event in their broadcasting history.

Two years ago, we were given the task of creating the Channel 4 Paralympic Games website. Here at Zone, we are continuing our involvement by sending more than a quarter of the office to support and cheer on Team GB.

The original website, which we designed and built in 2010, aimed to establish the Paralympics as an elite sporting event and celebrate Paralympian winners as the best in their class.

We wrote guides to every Paralympic sport, profiled the athletes competing and established relationships with prominent figures such as David Weir.

To add social dimension to the project, we created a Channel 4 Paralympic Facebook page, Twitter feed and YouTube channel, providing up to date interactive information in the run-up to and during the Games.

See you there.
