Senior Account Manager, BT

Reports to:

Account Director.

Role purpose:

The Senior Account Manager is responsible for managing the day to day relationship with one of our biggest clients, BT. They will be the main point of contact for the client through the project lifecycle, communicating, troubleshooting and advising. They will work collaboratively with other teams including editorial, strategy, design and technology to deliver exceptional work.

They will drive activity (print, digital and strategy) across the account, immersing themselves in the television and telecommunications world - pushing the boundaries and integrating innovation to achieve commercial potential for the client.

Main responsibilities:

Client Management
• Project manage and deliver end to end campaign and project performance.
• Monitor campaign and project performance, timelines and budgets and report on these regularly to the Account Director and the client.
• Manage the day-to-day client relationship, building and maintaining strong working relationships so that they trust and value your opinion.
• Liaise with clients regularly (responding to briefs, attending meetings, status reporting, information seeking, managing milestones and approvals).
• Identify and resolve issues before they arise.
• Give good strategic advice to clients based upon previous experience.
• Plan and lead presentations as required.
• Work collaboratively with other agencies and internal teams to ensure the best result for your client.

Commercial Awareness
• Identify new business opportunities with your client and flag to the Account Director for follow up as appropriate
• Proactively improve ways of working with clients on a continuous basis.
• Produce case studies, research documents and other collateral as required.

Leadership and Management
• Ensure that everyone you manage has regular appraisals, clear objectives and a career plan to work towards and that they have the skills required to meet your client’s objectives.
• Deputise for the Account Director when necessary.

Essential skills required
• 5 years relevant agency or clientside experience
• Ability to multi-task in a fast moving environment
• Excellent project management skills, with experience of managing budgets, estimates and schedules.
• Strong client management skills with the proven ability to add value to clients and to drive revenue from existing accounts.
• Strong problem solving/ troubleshooting skills
• Experience of running projects of £50k + from start to finish

Desirable skills required
• Experience of managing a team.
• Experience of running projects of £100k +
• In depth understanding of social media, SEO and digital marketing.
