Your Zone Friday: Keep dancing
Things we’ve done and things we like this week
This week Zone is slipping on its high heels, adjusting its sequins and sprinkling glitter over our content all in celebration of the return of office favourite Strictly Come Dancing. Enjoy, then, our waltz around the digital dancefloor...
Three things we've done

Did some Strict research
While the likes of Lulu and Jason Donovan need no introduction to Strictly Come Dancing fans, anyone other than avid readers of Loaded magazine circa 2002 will be unfamiliar with Holly Valance, let alone Harry Judd or Chelsee Healey. That's why our BT Vision team have put together this guide to Who's Who In This Year's Strictly.

Got a hot ticket
Edwina Currie and Robbie Savage might be able to pull off the odd heel turn or lock step, but that's nothing compared to the moves that'll be on show at the Paralympic Games. Tickets are on sale from today, and in celebration our Channel 4 team have put together this Definitive Guide To Paralympic Tickets.

Shared the love
Our Delicous Magazine team, meanwhile, are crumbling. Not literally, but rather they're sharing their best crumble recipes in support of Share The Love day. Cook two crumbles, one for you, one for a worthy recipient, and help foster a bit of community spirit.

This week’s data makeover
This week, using a potent combination of crowd-sourcing, a voting mechanic and making stuff up off the top of our heads, we've created this Zone dance, in which the most popular moves in the office are accorded the greatest percentage of the routine...

Zone hero of the week
There was no waltzing or quickstep for senior designer Josh Butcher when he got married recently. For Josh it's more about the Highland Fling since - as you may deduce by the fact he got hitched in a castle while wearing a kilt - he's a bona fide Scot. Congratulations Josh!
Tea or coffee? Irn Bru or whisky more like. But, since you ask, it's tea with milk, no sugar.

Geek of the Week speaks
Our tech team are on a mission to shed their nerdy reputation. We chart their progress…
This week the tech team are attempting to prove that they listen to music other than Metallica by creating a Spotify playlist called Unbelievable Techers. "It will show that we've got our finger on the pulse," says senior developer Dom Da Costa: "Have you heard of Ozzy Osbourne?"

‘I made this’
Zone staff share their creative moments
This week: Forget your foxtrot, grandad. When junior developer Ollie Philpott wants to get people dancing, he spins house tunes, as you can hear in this mix he's named - with Ronseal-esque simplicity - Beats, Bass and Melody.

NEWSFLASH!
Keep an eye on our coca-cola.co.uk website next week for the launch of an exciting new tool we've been developing...

The blog
Frankie and Clover's Strictly Come Dancing blog
The best of the commentaries on the hit BBC1 show combines affection with gentle mocking, describing, for example, Michelle Williams as a "matchstick on acid".

The Melbourne Shuffle
Our friends from Melbourne aren't bound by the normal conventions of dance, and instead invented their very own way to groove. Witness it in this video, and in Walkabout bars all across London.

The war dance
New Zealand v Wales
When it comes to rugby, the Kiwis are famed for the haka. But they probably didn't quite expect this response when they faced a fired up Welsh team in 2008...
