Your Zone Friday: Pass the gravy
Things we’ve done and things we like this week
This week Zone's digging into roast beef, Yorkshire puds and spotted dick. It's British Food Fortnight, and we're celebrating with a feast of digital content.
Three things we've done

Made stuffing
Our Channel 4 Food team's British recipe page is now more stuffed than a Christmas turkey with the best English, Welsh, Scottish and Northern Irish grub. They've also found out that the UK’s best family food bloggers like their roast chicken with 'a lemon up its bum'.

Talked TOWIE
Arg and Jess from The Only Way Is Essex tore themselves away from the King William pub for a while to have a chat with our BT Vision team about boob jobs, Nanny Pat and what's going on in the new series.

Got some style tips
The stars of London Fashion Week may not be that keen to tuck into a stodgy British pud, but they didn't turn their noses up at a photo shoot with our Diet Coke team.

This week’s data makeover
We've learned that Zone staff like it sticky and don't hold back on the custard. Here are our favourite British puds:

Zone hero of the week
Rich Dean, James Simpson, Ric Marshall-Nicolls and Josh Butcher all get a mention for using their muscle power to lug our almighty new Coke vending machine into position in the Zone office.
Tea or coffee?
Rich: I'll stick to water thanks.
James: A flat white.
Ric: Black coffee, nice and strong, two sweeteners please.
Josh: Two peppermint tea bags, no milk.

Geek of the Week speaks
Our tech team are on a mission to shed their nerdy reputation. We chart their progress…
Front-end developer Tim Reed has upped his street-cred this week by befriending the design boys. After bribing them with a few techie workshops, they’ve agreed to be seen in public with him. "They're letting me come to lunch with them soon," said Tim. "As long as I don't talk about World of Warcraft."

‘I made this’
Zone staff share their creative moments
This week: Coca-Cola group editor Gina Schauffer's partial to a nice bit of afternoon tea, so she's whipped up this Diet Coke and chocolate cake. We're still waiting for the cucumber sandwiches.

NEWSFLASH!
This week our information architect and all-round nice guy Paul McCormick has been investigating the changes to Facebook and their impact on brands in his blog 32 Down.

A Kentish Kitchen
There's plenty of amazing produce to be found in an English country garden, and it all gets put to good use in A Kentish Kitchen.

13 Things Made Of Bacon That Shouldn't Be
It doesn't get much more British than a nice bit of bacon, but these guys don't put it in their sarnies. Instead, they've gone for bacon bras, hats, dresses and all sorts of other unusual uses.
